Associate Director, Engineering (Field)

Merck's Global Engineering Services group seeks an Associate Director to manage large capital and infrastructure projects across manufacturing and laboratory facilities. The role involves leading integrated project teams, overseeing budgets and schedules, and ensuring on-time delivery of critical assets at multiple U.S. locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage integrated project teams to deliver assets on time and within budget
• Develop project execution plans and verify scopes align with business objectives
• Oversee design strategies, procurement, cost budgeting, scheduling, and construction management
• Implement change management, risk mitigation, and communications protocols
• Manage commissioning, qualification, and contract administration through project close-out

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Minimum 10 years executing capital and/or expense projects
• Experience managing integrated project teams delivering critical assets on budget
• Proficient oral and written communication with presentation skills
• Strong decision-making, change management, and team alignment capabilities
• Ability to collaborate in team environments and travel up to 50% within Americas

Compensation: $142,400–$224,100 base salary
