Associate needed for Albany office

Job Overview A leading law firm is seeking highly qualified law school graduates and judicial clerks for associate positions across multiple U.S. offices. The ideal candidate should possess commercial litigation experience, including discovery management, depositions, pleadings, and document review. Location: Albany, NY Duties Manage discovery processes, including overseeing document review. Take and defend depositions in commercial litigation matters. Draft pleadings, motions, and other key litigation documents. Assist in trial preparation and provide legal strategy support. Participate in hearings, motions, and case management conferences. Provide support throughout the litigation process, from pre-trial to post-trial. Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategies and trial presentations. Requirements Experience in commercial litigation, including discovery, depositions, and document review. In-court experience is preferred but not mandatory. Strong academic credentials and legal writing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Bar admission in the jurisdiction of the office or eligibility to obtain admission promptly. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Bar admission in the jurisdiction of interest (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly). Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in managing discovery and document review. Experience in taking and defending depositions. Ability to draft litigation documents, including pleadings and motions. Strong research and analytical skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
