R&D Chemist

Akkodis is seeking an R&D Chemist for a Contract with a client in Blue ash, OH. The ideal candidate is responsible for conducting wet lab research, chemical and polymer formulation development, laboratory testing, and data analysis to support R&D initiatives .

Rate Range: $44/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


R&D Chemist Job Responsibilities include:

• Conduct wet lab experiments involving chemical and polymer synthesis to support research and development initiatives.
• Develop, prepare, and optimize chemical formulations, resins, and laboratory solutions while troubleshooting material performance issues.
• Perform laboratory testing and chemical characterization using techniques such as FTIR, DSC, titration, and polymer property analysis.
• Analyze experimental data, document findings, and provide technical recommendations to support product and process development.
• Maintain laboratory protocols, technical reports, GMP documentation, and audit-ready records in compliance with quality standards.
• Support laboratory operations, equipment validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ), and adherence to laboratory safety procedures when handling hazardous chemicals.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on laboratory experience in chemistry, polymer science, or formulation development.
• Strong experience in wet chemistry, chemical formulation, polymer synthesis, laboratory testing, and chemical characterization techniques including FTIR, DSC, and titration.
• Experience working in GMP-regulated laboratory environments with expertise in laboratory documentation, data analysis, troubleshooting, and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).

Pay Details: $44.00 to $45.00 per hour
