Assists with administrative duties as assigned by the Program Director and under the direct supervision of the Program Director. Weatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for this continuous recruitment adjunct faculty position within the department. Applying for an adjunct appointment would add the applicant to a pool which is available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case a need arises for the academic year. When an opening occurs, the hiring manager will draw from the pool of applicants on an as needed basis. Should review of your qualifications result in a decision to pursue your candidacy, you will be contacted.Primary duties of adjunct faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses, as well as mentoring students inside and outside of the classroom. The adjunct faculty member creates and maintains an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned. Teaching modalities may be face-to-face, hybrid, online/Zoom, or within the context of dual credit instruction. Hours vary, depending on the need and course schedule, and may include day, evening, and/or weekend instruction. All faculty members are expected to maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and procedures.Required EducationGraduate of a two-part, structured program in phlebotomy consisting of didactic & laboratory, and clinical training; provide current phlebotomy certification recognized by NAACLS. All faculty members must possess minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools credential standards for faculty teaching courses designed for workforce certificate or degree completion. These standards include an appropriate academic degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline. Transcripts, certificates, and/or license must be submitted with application. Associate degree and/or 2-5 years work experience in the field of study; Bachelor's degree and/or 6-10 years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study; Master's degree and/or 11-15 years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study; Doctorate degree and/or 16+ years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study.Required ExperienceA minimum of 100 hours of clinical experience in the field; current phlebotomy certification recognized by NAACLSPosting Specific QuestionsRequired fields are indicated with an asterisk (*).* How did you hear about this employment opportunity?
