An exciting contract opportunity awaits for a dedicated Occupational Therapist seeking to support students in an engaging school-based environment. This position centers on delivering therapy to students from early childhood through second grade, covering a diverse and impactful age range. The role is set within a welcoming educational community near Prospect Heights, IL, and runs from August 17 through June 3. Key Qualifications and Skills: Current licensure and credentials as an Occupational Therapist Hands-on experience or familiarity with school-based occupational therapy Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, staff, and families Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills COTAs are not eligible for this position Enthusiasm for working with young children (EC, K, 1, 2) Commitment to fostering student independence and participation Essential Responsibilities: Provide direct therapy to students within their school setting Assess student needs and develop relevant, individualized therapy plans Document sessions, progress, and maintain necessary records Consult with teachers and participate in team meetings as needed Support students\' occupational development to promote learning Adjust therapy plans to meet evolving student goals and needs Position Details: Full-time contract, daily hours from 7:55 am to 2:55 pm Five days per week for the academic year (August 17June 3) Caseload includes students from early childhood through second grade (exact numbers will be discussed during the hiring process) Compensation for this position ranges from $34.46 to $64.46.
