Job Description

Orthopedic Clinic looking for experienced Surgery Scheduler / medical assistant:

Responsibilities:

Handle all back office duties
Scribe medical reports
Send medical records and reports to adjustors and attorney
Prepare RFA and send to workers compensation adjustors
Check in patients to exam rooms
Set up exam room and patient for PRP and other injections
Assist physician during physical exam
Ability to efficiently schedule patient for surgical procedure with pre-op examination in hospitals and surgery centers

Qualifications:

Previous experience in Orthopedic clinc with at least 3 years
Familiarity with orthopedic ICD10 diagnosis codes
Extensive computer skills to work with Word, excel, and Athena billing software
Knowledgable with preparing RFA requests and sending to adjustors
Sending Personal Injury reports to attorneys
Scheduling Orthopedic surgeries : epidurals, knee injections, spine , shoulder and knee surgeries in different hospital
scheduling Pre-Op for patients
Strong multi tasking skills
Spanish speaking or bilingual
