Opportunity:


RN - PACU


Job Details:


• Work 8-hour day shifts with 72 hours per pay period
• Option to work 8 or 9-hour shifts depending on scheduling needs
• Call required approximately once every 2 weeks during weeknights with a 1-hour response time
• Weekend call required approximately once every 6 weeks
• No holiday call required
• Primarily Phase 1 PACU with training available for Phase 2 if needed
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 in Phase 1
• Common cases include robotic prostatectomy, total knee/hip replacement, robotic hysterectomy, and bariatric procedures
• ICU patients go directly to their unit and do not recover in PACU
• Must be able to understand and interpret irregular cardiac rhythms
• May float to Post-op or Pre-op if trained
• 2-3 CNA support staff available in the department
• 2-3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation provided
• Charting system: Cerner
• Scrubs provided; respectable casual dress required to and from work
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• Must clock in and out at the facility


Facility:


This acute care facility operates as a Level 2 Trauma Center, offering a comprehensive range of surgical and post-operative care services. The PACU department features 34 beds and supports a wide variety of complex surgical cases including robotic and orthopedic procedures. The facility utilizes Cerner as its electronic medical records system and maintains a collaborative care environment with dedicated nursing and support staff.
