Role Description The Vice President of Artificial Intelligence is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for defining and executing the AI strategy across Micrologic’s product portfolio and internal operations. This role oversees the design and implementation of AI-driven features for POS, tunnel control, RFID, and web management solutions, including predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and customer behavior modeling. The Vice President leads cross-functional teams of data scientists, engineers, and product managers, establishes AI governance and ethical guidelines, and ensures technical initiatives are aligned with business objectives. Day-to-day activities include setting technology roadmaps, reviewing architectures and models, collaborating with leadership on product vision, managing vendor and partner relationships, and communicating progress and impact to executive stakeholders. The role also prioritizes experimentation, continuous improvement, and scalable AI capabilities that enhance reliability, security, and user experience for customers. Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, software architecture, and distributed systems. Advanced expertise in Data Science and Analytics, including statistical modeling, data engineering, and visualization for decision-making. Deep knowledge of Pattern Recognition and machine learning techniques for classification, forecasting, and anomaly detection in transactional and operational data. Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) for applications such as support automation, documentation enhancement, and text-based analytics. Proven track record leading AI initiatives in a product-centric technology organization, preferably in payments, retail systems, or industrial automation. Hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks and cloud platforms (e.g., Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, SQL/NoSQL, AWS/Azure/GCP). Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and manage diverse technical teams, with strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience establishing AI governance, model performance KPIs,
