Housekeeper Position

Location: Beacon Hill, Boston, MA
Compensation: $40–$45 per hour
Commitment: Long-term, ongoing
Guaranteed Hours: 30 hours per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–4:00 PM

Position Overview

A private adult household in  Beacon Hill is seeking an experienced, highly reliable  Professional Housekeeper for the long term. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a  strong, long-standing history in professional housekeeping who takes pride in maintaining high-end homes to an exceptional standard.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience caring for  luxury or high-end private residences , with a strong eye for detail and a thorough understanding of professional housekeeping standards. This is a  cleaning-focused position for someone who genuinely enjoys housekeeping and takes ownership of the overall care and presentation of a home.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, anticipating household needs, and maintaining a consistently immaculate and organized residence with minimal supervision.  Longevity in previous housekeeping positions is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed daily and deep cleaning of a multi-level, approximately 5,000-square-foot residence
• Maintain an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness and presentation throughout the home
• Care for fine finishes, furnishings, surfaces, and household materials appropriately
• Maintain closets, drawers, and personal belongings in an organized and orderly manner
• Manage laundry from start to finish, including sorting, washing, ironing, folding, and garment care
• Maintain clothing and linens with attention to fabric and care requirements
• Coordinate dry-cleaning drop-off and pick-up
• Monitor household supplies and grocery inventory
• Complete grocery shopping and occasional household errands
• Prepare simple meals, salads, and healthy foods from recipes as needed
• Proactively identify cleaning, organization, and household needs
• Maintain a discreet and professional presence within the home

Ideal Candidate

• Several years of professional housekeeping experience , preferably in private, high-end residences
• Demonstrated  longevity and stability in previous housekeeping positions
• Strong knowledge of professional cleaning techniques and products
• Exceptional attention to detail and pride in one's work
• Experience working in  luxury or high-end homes
• Highly organized, efficient, and self-directed
• Able to work independently without constant direction
• Warm, professional, discreet, and respectful of privacy and household boundaries
• Strong communication skills in English
• Reliable and committed to a long-term position
• Light cooking or meal preparation experience is a plus, but  professional housekeeping experience is the priority
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check
• Must provide 3–5 professional references , including references who can speak to your housekeeping experience and longevity in previous positions
