Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer - Network Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts, with at least five years of applied experience.
• Knowledge of infrastructure engineering areas such as hardware, networking, databases, storage, deployment, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessment.
• Hands-on network engineering experience and formal training or certification in technical and network design concepts, such as CCIE or CCNP.
• Strong networking expertise, including configuring and troubleshooting BGP, MP-BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, MPLS, RSVP-TE, and IS-IS; knowledge of TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and proxies; and experience with IPv4 and IPv6.
• In-depth knowledge of multiple infrastructure technologies and scripting languages, such as Python, JavaScript, YAML, JSON, or Bash.
• Knowledge of on-premises and remote data center technologies and operations.
• Significant experience with operating system and hypervisor platforms such as Hyper-V, ESXi, KVM, VMware, or OpenShift.
• Deep technical knowledge of Cisco ASR-class routers and Arista hardware platforms.
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in infrastructure engineering workflows, with strong output-validation practices and awareness of data sensitivity.
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalate uncertainty, and ensure outcomes meet resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
• Preferred: Experience with CI/CD and tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet for configuration management and deployment automation.
• Preferred: Working knowledge of 40/100/400G Ethernet, CWDM, DWDM, and optical transport networks.
• Preferred: Understanding of optical technologies and switch ASIC internals.
• Preferred: Working knowledge of physical infrastructure design, including structured and fiber-optic cabling.
• Preferred: Understanding of data center network hardware platforms and specifications.
• Preferred: Ability to solve design and functionality problems independently with minimal oversight.

• Apply deep technical expertise and structured problem-solving to analyze complex data and systems, anticipate issues, assess upstream and downstream impacts, and recommend mitigations.
• Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate analysis of infrastructure signals and document mitigation options, validating outputs and handling operational data according to security and sensitivity requirements.
• Plan, design, deploy, and configure Wide Area Network solutions and fabrics using Cisco routers, switches, and other network devices.
• Contribute technical expertise to Enterprise WAN modernization projects and ensure network designs follow industry best practices and security standards.
• Manage the network infrastructure lifecycle, including deployment packages, as-built documentation, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, considering dependencies and recommending mitigation actions.
• Ensure compliance with shared responsibility models and physical infrastructure, connectivity, and facility standards, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Engineer infrastructure to meet business requirements and carry out work in line with compliance, risk, security, and business objectives.
• Lead reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted practices in delivery and automation to reduce recurring issues, ensuring changes are validated, traceable, auditable, resilient, and secure.
