Speech Language Pathologist

Position: Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist Setting: Onsite School Year: September 1, 2026 – May 28, 2027 Employment Type: Full-Time About the School This is a small, tight-knit school community where staff work closely together to support student success. With new leadership in place, this is an exciting time to join the team and contribute to the district's continued growth. The school is looking for an SLP who is active, innovative, and creative in their approach to therapy. Rather than relying heavily on pre-packaged programs or worksheets, the ideal clinician will bring engaging, individualized, and functional therapy approaches to the school setting. Caseload & Student Population The SLP will primarily support: Students in grades 3rd–8th Mostly general education students Students with mild to moderate communication disorders A variety of speech and language needs The district does not have specialized speech-language programs, making this a great opportunity for a clinician who enjoys creating individualized interventions based on each student's unique needs. Responsibilities Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students in grades 3–8 Evaluate students and contribute to eligibility determinations Develop individualized speech and language goals and treatment plans Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational teams Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers Create engaging, functional, and individualized therapy activities Utilize creative and innovative approaches to address student communication needs Contribute ideas and strategies as the district continues developing its programs and services What They're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Is forward-thinking and innovative Enjoys creating engaging therapy activities rather than relying on "canned" programs Is creative and active in their clinical approach Enjoys collaborating with teachers and school teams Is excited about the opportunity to grow with a district during a period of transition Values working within a small, supportive, and community-oriented school environment Qualifications Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) through ISBE required Previous school-based experience preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Creative and student-centered clinical approach Competitive salary ranging from $58,000–$70,000 Comprehensive benefits package available including 401k with matching, free health insurance, free CEUs, classroom stipends, and PTO Dental and vision Supportive and collaborative school environment Opportunity to help shape speech-language services within a growing district Ongoing support and advocacy from the AnthroMed team Why Join This Opportunity?
