Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270 Assignment Length: 26 weeks Start Date: 10/05/2026 Shift: 4x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Hours per Week: 36 Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery Location: Seattle, WA 98122 Schedule Notes: Weekend coverage and holidays may be required; schedule is posted in advance Float Expectations: May float to postpartum, antepartum, or nearby sister units as needed Job Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license accepted if active and in hand at submission Minimum of 3 years of high-acuity, high-volume Labor & Delivery experience required Experience with high-risk obstetric patients preferred Epic charting experience required Required certifications: BLS and NRP Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate Must be comfortable providing supervisory references and completing compliance documentation Strong clinical confidence and communication skills in a fast-paced environment Responsibilities Provide compassionate, expert nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum transition Function as the baby nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum Circulate for cesarean sections and support high-risk deliveries Perform newborn assessments, APGAR scoring, thermoregulation support, and immediate post-delivery care Monitor fetal status and assist with electronic fetal monitoring Support vaginal and operative deliveries, including recovery and postpartum care Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, efficient patient care in a high-volume unit Float to postpartum or antepartum areas when needed and contribute to team coverage Maintain strong communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent patient outcomes Apply now to join this Seattle travel nurse opportunity and bring your Labor & Delivery expertise to a dynamic healthcare team.
