Job Description We are working with a wholesale fashion company specializing in private label and branded junior and missy apparel. Their business includes knit and woven products, with a strong focus on bottoms. We are working with a wholesale fashion company specializing in private label and branded junior and missy apparel. Their business includes knit and woven products, with a strong focus on bottoms. This person will focus primarily on knit bottoms, while also designing related separates and tops. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for commercial junior and missy fashion, understands fit and fabrication, and can take ownership of the design process from concept through production. Responsibilities Design knit bottoms as the core category, along with related knit tops and separates. Research trends, colors, fabrics, washes, trims, and silhouettes relevant to the customer and market. Create seasonal design concepts, sketches, presentation boards, and line assortments. Develop detailed tech packs and communicate product specifications clearly to overseas partners. Partner closely with development, production, and merchandising throughout the product lifecycle. Be heavily involved in fittings, reviewing samples, identifying fit issues, and providing clear corrections. Travel to China to work directly with factories and support product development and production. Qualifications Experience designing knit apparel, with strong bottoms experience preferred. Background in junior and/or missy contemporary or value-driven fashion. Strong technical knowledge, including tech pack development, garment construction, and fit. Comfortable working directly with overseas factories and vendors. Organized, hands-on, and able to work well in a small team environment.
