Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - School-Based Behavior Support Consultant - Oakland, CA

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a school-based opportunity in the Oakland, CA area for the upcoming school year.

This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple school sites, supporting educators, staff, and students through behavior consultation, teacher training, and implementation of evidence-based behavioral strategies. The BCBA will serve as a key resource for school teams by improving behavioral outcomes and supporting positive learning environments.

Position Details

• Location: Oakland, CA

• Start Date: August 24, 2026

• Duration: 33 Weeks

• Schedule: 37.5 Hours Per Week

• Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

• Travel Between Assigned School Sites Required

• School-Year Contract

Responsibilities

• Conduct behavioral assessments and observations

• Develop and oversee Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)

• Train and support teachers, paraprofessionals, and school staff

• Provide consultation to school teams regarding behavioral and academic interventions

• Analyze behavioral data and adjust interventions as needed

• Collaborate with special education teams, administrators, and related service providers

• Promote positive behavior supports and evidence-based practices throughout assigned campuses

Qualifications

• Active BCBA Certification

• Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field

• School-based experience preferred

• Experience providing staff training and behavior consultation preferred

• Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst - ES provides consultation, training, conducts behavioral evaluations and develops/implements behavior intervention plans for individuals with academic and behavioral deficits. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst - ES acts as a clinical teacher who educates, observes, assesses, and supervises educational activities and behavioral service delivery in the school setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

• Master's degree in applied behavior analysis, teaching, psychology or related field

• Preferred experience providing behavior analytic programs and services in schools

• One (1) year minimum pediatric experience preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
