Location: Roswell, NM 88201

Schedule: Part-Time | 3 Days/Week: Any 3 Days Between Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

In this vital role, you will perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams to help Veterans receive the benefits and care they have earned through their service.

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Evaluations: Perform focused physical examinations and medical histories for Veterans seeking disability benefits.
• Clinical Assessment: Review medical records and utilize your clinical judgment to provide objective findings on service-connected conditions.
• Documentation: Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems to complete thorough, timely, and accurate medical-legal reports.
• Patient Advocacy: Provide a compassionate and empathetic experience for Veterans, ensuring they feel heard and respected throughout the examination process.
• Streamlined Workflow: Focus exclusively on assessments and diagnostics; this role involves no ongoing treatment, prescribing, or long-term case management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensure: Valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the State of New Mexico .
• Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred, but motivated new graduates with a strong clinical foundation are encouraged to apply.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks).
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with Veterans from all branches of service.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in medical documentation and the ability to multitask in a professional clinical setting.
