Validation Engineer

About the job:

Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing / Validation Engineer for a 12+ month contract role based in Raynham, MA . This role will support manufacturing and validation activities in a regulated medical device environment, including equipment validation, manufacturing process development, and cross-functional coordination to ensure production readiness.

To be considered, candidates should have experience writing and executing validation protocols such as IQ, OQ, and PQ , preferably supporting manufacturing equipment validation . Experience working in FDA-regulated medical device environments and supporting manufacturing process improvements, root cause investigations, and equipment commissioning is highly preferred.

Pay Range: $41/hr – $46/hr on W2 (The pay rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Manufacturing / Validation Engineer responsibilities include:

• Write and execute validation protocols and reports (IQ, OQ, PQ) for manufacturing equipment and processes
• Support equipment validation activities , including commissioning of new manufacturing assets
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, specifications, and operator instructions
• Conduct process studies, production readiness activities, and investigations
• Perform root cause analysis and problem solving for manufacturing issues
• Update procedures, manufacturing specifications, routes, and travelers within the PLM system
• Work with OEM equipment manufacturers and distributors to define user requirements and technical specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Planning to align validation strategies
• Coordinate validation documentation, execution activities, and approvals
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and company quality procedures
• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation supporting validation and manufacturing activities

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4–5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or validation engineering
• Hands-on experience writing and executing IQ, OQ, PQ validation protocols
• Experience supporting equipment validation and commissioning activities
• Experience working in FDA-regulated or medical device manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of manufacturing process development and process improvement
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with 3D printing or additive manufacturing equipment validation
• Experience working with PLM systems for manufacturing documentation updates
• Background supporting medical device manufacturing processes
