JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is an accounting position that is located in the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation’s (DVR) Financial Payments Section administratively assigned to the Bureau of the Comptroller. This position is responsible for the auditing and processing of invoices, assembling documents and /or data for various types of job-related analysis, and the preparation of documents to be input into the Client Service System for the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). All duties listed below must be performed in compliance with the mandatory requirements in Section 214.422, Florida Statutes and Chapter 3A-20 of the Florida Administrative Code.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Auditing and Processing Authorization Invoices

• audits and processes client service authorization invoices

• verifies the mathematical correctness of the invoices and any supporting documentation

• ensures amounts authorized and amounts billed Are in agreement

• verifies signatures of approval and service provider

• verifies all FLAIR codes to include:

• • vendor identification numbers

• organization codes

• object codes

• expansion options

• ensures documentation is attached, when needed

• prepares and inputs authorization invoices into the DVR Automated System to create vouchers

• retrieves the authorization from the database, making any required changes, and designating the authorization invoice for payment

• • Reports and Reviews

• prepares correspondence to request information, documentation and/or actions needed to process authorizations or resolve discrepancies between invoice and encumbrance file

• researches and responds to telephone and written inquiries to include:

• stop payments

• warrant cancellations and reissues

• payment verifications

• other fiscal actions

• assists with reviews, data collection, and identifying refinements to the fiscal processes

• uses teamwork to improve fiscal processes

• reports, when required, as to the progress of continual process improvement

• assist supervisor in preparing reports and analysis as needed

• assists other employees and auditors as requested

LEAVE INFORMATION: (CS)

• Annual Leave - All full-time Career Service employees filling established positions earn annual leave in varying increments dependent upon years of creditable service. Employees with up to 5 years of creditable service earn 8.667 hours per month, with 5 to 10 years earn 10.833 hours per month and those with over 10 years of service earn 13 hours per month. Employees in Senior Management Service and Selected Exempt Service positions are credited with 176 hours of annual leave upon appointment. In subsequent years, the annual allotment is credited on the anniversary date of the initial appointment.

• Sick Leave - Career Service employees earn 8.667 hours of sick leave credits per month

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
