Summary

The Commercial Solutions Specialist serves as the primary technical and commercial resource for the Mining & Industrial Sales Team, partnering closely with Commercial Managers to identify customer needs, develop engineered solutions, and drive adoption of Derrick's screening technologies. This role combines technical expertise with consultative selling to support business growth, strengthen customer relationships, and expand Derrick's global market presence.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Commercial Managers and technical sales team to identify customer needs and recommend effective technical solutions.
\n
• Identify customer challenges and provide value-driven solutions while effectively addressing objections and negotiating successful outcomes.
\n
• Develop and deliver professional technical presentations, product demonstrations, proposals, quotes and budgets to customers.
\n
• Travel throughout assigned territories to develop and grow relationships with sales distribution and end users.
\n
• Build, maintain, and grow strategic customer relationships to increase market share and revenue.
\n
• Introduce and promote new Derrick products, technologies, and services to existing and prospective customers.
\n
• Represent Derrick Corporation at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
\n
• Coordinate the transition of projects to project management and engineering teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
\n
• Prepare, review, and implement customer agreements using approved commercial terms and conditions.
\n
• Actively support Derrick Corporations’s Core Values while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
\n
• Present market intelligence, industry trends, and customer feedback to mid and senior leadership to support strategic business planning and product development.

• Facilitating and actively participating in DEX lab tests and customer visits to Buffalo.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

• Strong understanding of solution-based sales.
\n
• Ability to provide high-quality customer service and maintain long-term client relationships.
\n
• Excellent presentation and communications skills for effective customers and internal team.
\n
• Willingness for routine travel, including domestic and abroad.
\n
• Certified Sales Engineer (CSE) or other professional certifications are a plus.
