Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population on a telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–5
• Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues
• Utilize Epic EMR, Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework in daily clinical practice
• Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling and work required major holidays per assignment guidelines
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Maintain full compliance with onboarding requirements and complete orientation modules as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Ability to meet all compliance and onboarding deadlines prior to start date
• All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule changes permitted post-offer or onsite

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Familiarity with SBAR communication in a fast-paced telemetry environment
