MRI Technologist - Weekender Days

Role MRI Technologist responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures, analyzing data, and assisting licensed practitioners. Key Responsibilities Obtain correct orders, identify patients, prepare them for exams, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality. Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and ensure patient safety following ALARA principles. Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, and evaluate image quality and data transfer. Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying MRI safety principles to minimize risks. Assist with MRI interventional procedures and select suitable pulse sequences based on protocols. Participate in MRI safety implant investigations and approval processes. Qualifications & Skills Certification in ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment. Advanced certification required within 24 months for hires after a specified date. Graduate of a radiologic technology program; bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge of MRI safety, technical imaging protocols, and patient care best practices. Work Environment & Additional Info Typically performed in a clinical setting.
