About the Role

The Company is in search of a Senior Counsel with a focus on Finance and M&A to join their legal team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the organization's high-impact transactional work, particularly in the areas of corporate finance, project finance, and M&A. This role involves leading and supporting acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic investments, as well as drafting and negotiating a variety of transaction documents. The Senior Counsel will also be responsible for overseeing due diligence processes, assessing risk, and providing legal support on debt and equity financing transactions. Strong commercial judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority matters are essential for this position. Applicants for the Senior Counsel role at the company should hold a J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and have a minimum of 8 years' of experience in M&A, project finance, and complex transactions. Experience within the energy or infrastructure sector is strongly preferred, and prior in-house experience is a plus. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with the ability to work across senior stakeholders and external partners, and must be adept at balancing legal risk with commercial objectives.
