Truck Driver CDL A Solo HazMat

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Houston, TX offering weekly pay and excellent benefits. Weekly pay average $1600 or more, plus a $2000 sign‑on bonus paid in two installments. Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday with 2 consecutive days off each week Start Time: 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM Dispatch Paid Training Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision after 30 days 80 hours PTO in first year, starting Day 1 (use it or get paid for it) Uniforms & boot allowance provided 401(k) rollover available now + company match at 1 year 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility) Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, tech & more Referrals paid unlimited bonus Requirements Minimum 21 years of age Pass Ryder Drug Test, Background check, DOT physical, road test Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position Class A experience: 9 months within past 3 years OR 2 years within last 5 years OR 5 years within last 10 years 9‑12 months Hazmat experience; Hazmat endorsement at interview Route delivery experience required Must be able to drive a manual tractor‑type (Day Cab or Sleeper) Responsibilities Adhere to federal, state, and agency laws, regulations, and standards Identify and eliminate safety hazards, maintain accurate records and logs Load/unload freight or assist per customer requirements Perform other duties as assigned Ryder is proud to be an equal‑opportunity employer and drug‑free workplace.
