This facility is a community-based hospital serving the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, operating an 11-bed Emergency Department with strong support staff including ED RNs and an APP. The facility is a Level 3 trauma center with 24-hour availability of key support services including anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, radiology, and laboratory services.

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens coverage needed for an 11-bed Emergency Department serving both inpatient and outpatient needs
• Onsite orientation required one day prior to first block of assigned shifts
• Shifts run 8am - 8pm, 7 days a week
• Average of 36 patient encounters per day
• Average of 3 admissions per shift
• Support staff includes ED RNs and 1 APP
• Charting via Meditech EMR
• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine is required
• Active Michigan license or IMLC required
• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 30 days; temporary privileges may be granted when needed
• Nearest airport is CMX - Hancock, Michigan
• Facility lodging available if applicable
