PROPERTY STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Prepare month‑end bank and account reconciliations. Prepare and post month‑end journal entries. Prepare preliminary and final financial statements for departments. Collaborate with departments to resolve financial discrepancies. Record and sort daily bank transactions. Assist in monthly and year‑end tax payments and filings. Assist with audits by providing required documentation. Provide enthusiastic customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements within area of responsibility and report potential issues to management. Qualification Requirements Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Accounting or a related field from an accredited four‑year college or university. 0‑2 years of related experience. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English. Must be at least 21 years of age. Supervisory Responsibilities This job will have no supervisory responsibilities. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents in English (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals) and to communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Obtain and maintain a license from the WV Racing Commission and/or WV Lottery as required. Successfully complete and maintain certification in the Beverage Service Program (TIPS and TOPS) as required. Physical Demands The physical demands of this job include regular standing, use of hands to handle objects, frequent reaching, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, and to perform pushing, pulling, bending, and balancing tasks. The employee must also have close, color, and peripheral vision.
