Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into an impactful role supporting elementary students as a Special Education Resource Teacher. This contract opportunity is based onsite and will span from late August through mid-June, providing a consistent and rewarding position for the 2026-2027 school year. You'll be collaborating with a dedicated team and making a positive difference in young learners’ educational journeys.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Experience in special education, specifically as a Resource Teacher at the elementary level
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and differentiation strategies
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, families, and school staff
- Organized, patient, and skilled at adapting instruction to meet diverse needs
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide credentials upon request
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of elementary students requiring resource-level special education services
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver direct instruction and interventions both individually and in small groups
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify curriculum and support inclusion
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and progress monitoring
- Serve as a liaison between school, students, and families to ensure optimal support
- Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
