An exciting opportunity is available for a contract Occupational Therapist with school-based experience to support K-12 learners near beautiful Grand Junction, Colorado. This role lets you engage with students from diverse backgrounds, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify students’ functional abilities and challenges
• Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans
• Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student participation in school routines and activities
• Delivering direct and consultative occupational therapy services designed to promote independence in the educational environment
• Monitoring progress, adjusting interventions, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Participating in IEP meetings and contributing therapy goals tailored to each student’s needs

Preferred qualifications and skills:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Valid state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt interventions to a variety of age groups and learning abilities
• Dedicated to fostering a positive, inclusive environment for students
