Prayer and Care Specialist - (Part-Time)

Job Type: Part-time Job Summary The Prayer & Care Line Specialist will report directly to the Supervisor of Prayer & Care Line and will be responsible for answering all aspects of the call center. The main responsibility is to pray and intercede for all incoming prayer requests. The role also includes capturing data related to listeners prayer requests. The monthly statistical Prayer Report is a vital tool for the radio station in understanding the needs of the community served. Prayer & Care Line Call Center Creates quality responses within production goals with excellent verbal and written skills in Hope Media Group’s style. Responsible for recording and entering data in various applications. Works alongside other volunteers for the functions of the Prayer & Care Line. Prayer Responds to inbound and outbound phone calls, social media requests, and other contacts associated with the Prayer & Care Line. Communicates in complex emotional situations, accountable for legal and ethical boundaries. Receives and prays for concerns and requests from individuals in Hope Media Group’s listener base. Responsible for follow‑up calls to previous callers of the Prayer & Care Line. Responds and tracks prayer requests received via the God Listens prayer application. Maintains a clean area and a peaceful environment for anyone desiring a place to pray. Attends training for the Prayer & Care Line. Collaborates with the Supervisor of Prayer & Care Line to provide opportunities for prayer line volunteers to enrich their prayer lives. Maintains confidentiality. Administration Responsible for maintaining an accurate report of incoming prayer requests. Meets periodically with Supervisor of Prayer & Care Line and Prayer & Care Line Coordinators. Dedicated to serving with Prayer & Care Line volunteers and front desk team. Demonstrated Faith Committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Grounded spiritually and biblically literate. Comfortable praying for co‑workers in team meetings, leading spoken prayer, and participating in ministry prayer meetings and Bible studies. Live Christian principles defined by the ministry’s Statement of Faith & Biblical Beliefs. Participates in on‑air fundraisers and prays for donors as needed. Passion for leveraging HMG’s media platforms for evangelism and discipleship. Exhibits a strong moral character. Active member of a Bible‑believing local church. Requirements Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Experience: 2‑3 years’ experience preferred in a prayer related field. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Creative and enthusiastic, team player. Strong administrative and organizational skills. Effective writing skills and excellent grammatical usage and style. Excellent interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Google tool applications. Must have passion for prayer. Maintain a high level of confidentiality. Understands the power of prayer. Has the gift of prayer. Can elicit the needs and concerns of others. Good listening skills. Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; spiritually grounded and working knowledge of scriptures. Possesses a genuine concern for all people, and capacity to relate with all in a sensitive, respectful way. Studied and applied the Christian faith through a minimum of 3 years of bible study. Able to offer Christian prayer in group settings. Exhibits a life and service in full accord with Holy Bible and the ministry. Love and appreciation for the style of Christian radio ministry. Heart for Christian ministry. Strong moral character. Active member of a Bible‑believing local church. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Travel Occasionally.
