Accounting Clerk

Job Title: Accounting Clerk (AP/AR) Location: Clackamas, OR Salary Range: $27-$33.65 per hour DOE Employment Type: Temp to Hire (3-6 months contract then permanent), Fully Onsite, Full Time Our client is seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk for their office in Clackamas, OR. The ideal candidate should have excellent accounting and communication skills, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and experience in billing coordination. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities Initiate and maintain contact with clients to follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve payment issues. Review billing statements and accounts receivable aging reports to prioritize collection efforts. Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement terms when necessary. Generate collection reports and provide regular updates on accounts receivable status. Processing and reviewing invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness of invoices. Reconciling vendor statements and maintaining vendor files. Provide assistance with vendor inquiries, prepare and process weekly check runs, and provide support to other accounting functions as required. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records, assisting with month-end close, and accruals. Qualifications 5+ years of experience with AR/AP and/or just AP required. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to billing and AP is a plus. Benefits Benefits vary depending on employer.
