Position Overview
The Supply Chain Planner plays a key role in ensuring production readiness by timely Purchase Order Placement, managing critical supplier relationships, and driving the on-time delivery of materials. This role focuses on managing material planning, resolving supply chain challenges, overseeing procurement activities, and supporting cross-functional teams to maintain smooth operations in an engineer-to-order manufacturing environment. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Analyze demand in ERP, create Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders.
• Perform excess inventory analysis and coordinate with the warehouse to ensure availability of excess inventory while minimizing liability.
• Negotiate with suppliers for quick buys and escalate PO delivery issues as necessary.
• Drive PO acceptance and delivery confirmation process, partnering with internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Proactively monitor supply and demand imbalances and take corrective actions to resolve material shortages impacting production.
• Monitor Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) suppliers
• Collaborate with Project Management, Strategic Procurement, and other teams to address potential delays.

To thrive in this role, you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline – supply chain, business, manufacturing, or industrial engineering degree, or 5+ years of equivalent working experience.
• Worked on a supply chain or procurement role for over 3 years in a manufacturing environment
• Highly proficient in MS Excel skills.
• MRP systems knowledge, SAP Preferred.
• Strong negotiating skills
• Highly analytical with a proven ability to identify and resolve complex material-related issues.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy

The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC $66,708 - $78,336 . The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
