Our team is known for delivering exceptional patient care with compassion, precision, and professionalism. We are seeking an organized and patient-focused Surgery Scheduler to join our growing team.
Position Overview
The Surgery Scheduler plays a critical role in coordinating surgical procedures and ensuring a smooth experience for patients from consultation to surgery. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple scheduling priorities in a fast-paced medical environment.
Responsibilities
- Schedule surgical procedures with hospitals and surgery centers
- Coordinate surgery dates, pre-operative appointments, and post-operative visits
- Communicate surgery details and instructions clearly with patients
- Obtain and verify insurance information when applicable
- Coordinate with surgeons, clinical staff, and surgical facilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate patient scheduling records in EMR systems
- Ensure all required documentation is completed prior to surgery
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient support
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical scheduling experience preferred (surgery scheduling strongly preferred)
- Experience in plastic surgery or surgical specialties is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and patient service skills
- Familiarity with EMR systems and medical office workflows
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
Compensation & Benefits
- $24-27 per hour
- 401(k) with 4% Safe Harbor match
- 2 weeks paid time off (PTO)
