Staff AccountantThe Staff Accountant plays a vital role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by managing day-to-day accounting functions, performing account reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting and budgeting. This is a role for someone who is detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and looking to grow in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with day-to-day accounting functions including cash and credit cards, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and general ledger maintenance among other areas.Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper allocation of expenses and revenue to the appropriate accounts.Assist with the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, and variance analysis.Work closely with the accounting team to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures.Assist with tax preparation, audits, and other regulatory filings as needed.Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide support on accounting-related inquiries.Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting department.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting requiredStrong knowledge of GAAPProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting softwareStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentWho You AreYou are a clear communicator who puts employees and partners first, a creative problem-solver who doesn't let things linger, and someone who moves fast without cutting corners.
