Senior Marketing Lead OR AVP, Head of Marketing- A&H

The Executive Marketing Lead or AVP Head of Marketing- A&H is responsible for leading the marketing function for Zurich North America's Accident & Health (A&H) business. This role develops and executes marketing strategies that support business growth, strengthen brand awareness, generate market demand, and enhance broker, customer, and partner engagement across A&H's portfolio of products and solutions.

The position serves as a strategic business partner to Distribution, Product, Underwriting, Operations, and executive leadership teams, while leading a team of marketing professionals responsible for content development, campaign execution, digital marketing, communications, events, customer engagement, and marketing operations. The role ensures all marketing initiatives align with Zurich's brand standards, compliance requirements, and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy & Business Partnership

• Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies supporting A&H growth objectives.
• Align marketing priorities with distribution, product, underwriting, and customer experience initiatives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on market positioning, customer engagement, and brand strategy.
• Translate business goals into measurable marketing plans and campaigns.
• Identify opportunities to increase awareness, engagement, lead generation, and market penetration.

Campaign Development & Execution

• Lead development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns.
• Oversee product launches, broker communications, customer marketing initiatives, and thought leadership programs.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to develop messaging and value propositions for key products and target markets.
• Ensure marketing activities support strategic distribution and sales initiatives.

Digital Marketing & Communications

• Lead website strategy, search engine optimization (SEO), digital content strategy, and social media initiatives.
• Oversee development of marketing content including articles, presentations, emails, videos, advertising, sales materials, and thought leadership content.
• Manage digital marketing efforts including LinkedIn campaigns, web content, and customer engagement programs.
• Drive consistent messaging and brand standards across all channels.

Content, Brand & Creative Leadership

• Establish content priorities supporting customer, broker, and distribution objectives.
• Direct creative development processes and oversee design, messaging, and content creation.
• Ensure marketing materials reflect Zurich brand standards and strategic positioning.
• Support development of market-facing presentations, product collateral, event materials, and promotional assets.

Marketing Operations & Governance

• Oversee marketing workflows, project management processes, content calendars, and production schedules.
• Manage marketing technology platforms and related operational processes.
• Ensure compliance with Zurich legal, regulatory, and brand governance requirements.
• Coordinate review and approval processes with Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders.

Analytics & Performance Management

• Establish marketing KPIs and performance metrics.
• Evaluate campaign effectiveness and return on investment.
• Monitor trends, customer engagement data, and digital performance metrics.
• Provide regular reporting and actionable insights to leadership teams.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of marketing professionals.
• Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability across the marketing function.
• Foster collaboration with business partners throughout the organization.
• Create a high-performing, innovative, and customer-focused marketing culture.

This role will be filled at either the Executive Marketing Lead or AVP Head of Marketing level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

Basic Qualifications:

Executive Marketing Lead:

• Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Marketing area
  AND
• 5 or more years experience developing marketing strategies and executing on marketing campaigns

OR

AVP, Head of Marketing:

• Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience in creative marketing
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Marketing area
  AND
• Experience leading marketing projects and marketing initiatives
• Knowledge of insurance market, operations, products and services
• Knowledge in creating marketing/advertising campaigns
• Knowledge in creating integrated content across all marketing channels including digital, print, packaging, social media, etc.
• People development and training experience
• Project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Insurance, financial services, employee benefits, or related industry experience.
• Experience supporting broker-distributed or B2B marketing models.
• Knowledge of digital marketing platforms, CRM systems, analytics tools, and marketing automation technologies.
• Experience working in a regulated industry environment.

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. If your expectations are above the listed range, we still encourage you to apply—your unique background matters to us. The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location. The combined salary range for this position is $115,200.00 - $188,700.00. The Senior Marketing Lead with short-term incentive bonus eligibility is set at 15%. The AVP, Head of Marketing short-term incentive bonus eligibility is set at 20%.
