What You'll Actually Do Master Insurance Verification: Meticulously verify coverage BEFORE services are provided, prevent claim denials, and maximize revenue capture Excel at Financial Counseling: Confidently explain costs, billing processes, and insurance complexities to patients in a way they understand Solve Billing Problems: Proactively identify and resolve insurance discrepancies and billing issues before they impact revenue Drive Patient Satisfaction: Deliver exceptional service even during difficult financial conversations - keeping patients happy while handling payment matters Be the Face of AFC: Greet patients with the warmth and professionalism that makes AFC stand out in healthcare Own the Front Desk Flow: Process payments, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins with lightning efficiency Protect Patient Information: Maintain organized records while strictly following HIPAA regulations This Role Is Perfect For You If You have experience with insurance verification and medical billing (non-negotiable!). You can explain complex insurance concepts to frustrated patients with empathy and clarity. You're obsessively detail-oriented – a single digit error in an insurance ID can cost thousands. You've worked as a Medical Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, or in any Customer Service role in a medical office setting. You're tech-savvy with medical billing software and EMR systems. You have excellent problem-solving skills and can find billing solutions that work for both patients and the clinic. You maintain a positive attitude even when dealing with challenging financial conversations. The anticipated pay range for this position is $16.50 to $19.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, internal equity, and market conditions.
