Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

$2350.08/week - Job Summary: Performs echocardiography procedures to produce detailed images of the heart’s structures and functions. Collaborates with cardiologists to assist in diagnosing cardiac conditions and assessing heart health. Responsibilities: Operate ultrasound equipment to acquire high-quality cardiac images. Prepare patients by positioning, applying gels, attaching electrodes, and verifying signals. Interact with patients, review medical histories, and adjust imaging techniques accordingly. Perform echocardiograms on treadmill patients to evaluate cardiac performance. Maintain and organize imaging equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for procedures. Document patient data and imaging results accurately in medical records. Qualifications: Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; certification may be required for some roles. Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from ARDMS or CCI. Echocardiography (ECG) certification is preferred. Valid BLS or CPR certification from an approved provider. Minimum of 5 years of recent experience performing echocardiography.
