Special Education Teacher

Overview Devereux Florida provides programs and services for children and adolescents who face significant emotional, behavioral and intellectual/developmental challenges. Located in Viera, FL, this position is responsible for delivering instructional and therapeutic support within a structured program for youth ages 6-17. Responsibilities include: Communicates course content clearly and effectively to students Demonstrates mastery of subject matter Provides intensive services to children and adolescents within a four to six month treatment period Delivers a comprehensive therapeutic approach based on the individual needs of the client and their family Supports clients with issues related to emotional, behavioral, and psychological problems arising from histories of abuse, neglect, or trauma that hinder functioning in a family environment Position Details Subjects teaching: Self-contained, IDD/ASD Secondary Math Pay Range: This position starts at $52,000 - $60,990 annual. Salary is based on relevant education and experience. Schedule: Work hours are 8:00am–4:00pm (school hours are 9:00am–3:00pm).
