We are currently looking for the right candidate to help run one of our restaurants. Our stores are located in wonderful communities with great people and fantastic schools. The restaurant is staffed by great people. The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for making sure the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are high, so this is a big job! The General Manager will work with the Supervisor and Director of Operations and/or the Owner/Operator to set the restaurant’s goals and creates a plan to achieve the goals. We pride ourselves with giving great customer service in a clean, friendly, and fast paced environment. To meet restaurant goals, the General Manager doesn’t work alone. He or she leads a team of Department Managers that has specific responsibilities in the restaurant. This means helping the Department Managers to set their own goals, following up on their progress, and providing coaching and direction to improve their departments. By improving the Departments, the restaurant improves! The General Manager is responsible for the hiring and development of all management team members to make sure the restaurant has the right team to lead into the future. The General Manager will work with the management to train and develop all staff. Additional Job Requirements Ideal candidates should have previous General Manager experience running high volume locations. A background in quick-service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail. You must be 18 years or older to be a General Manager in our locally owned restaurant. Previous McDonald’s experience preferred or 2+ years Supervisory Experience in a Food Service Environment with Profit & Loss Accountability and Team Member Development. This role is vital to the operations within the restaurant because you’ll: Lead the experience: Manage all aspects within the restaurant, including food production, guest service and experience, and direct crew and manager work Plan for success: Proactively lead and manage all People processes including but not limited o Recruiting, Hiring and Onboarding o Staffing o Performance Management o Train, coach and motivate Be in the know: Plan for and make critical business decisions around inventory, budget, and food ordering/costs Take action first: Ensure food safety measures are set and achieved to McDonald’s Inspire and Empower: Maintain high level of standard for guest and employee safety Be results oriented: Oversee all operational needs of the restaurant, including maintenance plans to meet and exceed standards of excellence To Be a Successful General Manager, You’ll Need A commitment to excellence and safety in the workplace; Strong customer service and support focus; The ability to communicate effectively and anticipate customer needs; and To provide solutions and make decisions in a fast-paced environment So, what’s your job combo?
