About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Medical Affairs to lead the development and execution of integrated medical affairs plans for its clinical-stage and future pipeline programs. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong scientific background, responsible for building and scaling medical affairs capabilities, and establishing trusted relationships with the external medical community. This role requires a player-coach approach, where the VP will set the strategic direction and also be directly involved in the creation and delivery of high-priority medical plans, scientific materials, and external engagement activities. The VP will also be a key member of the clinical development leadership team, providing medical perspective on various strategic and operational aspects. Applicants must have an advanced scientific or clinical degree, with a medical degree strongly preferred, and at least 10 years of experience in medical affairs, clinical development, or a related function within the biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry. A background in gastrointestinal diseases is strongly preferred. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in developing and executing medical affairs strategy, external scientific engagement, and leadership in evidence generation and scientific communications. The ideal candidate will have experience in immunology, inflammation, respiratory medicine, or a relevant specialty therapeutic area, and a history of scientific accomplishment. The VP will be expected to operate with a high level of scientific rigor, accountability, and ethical decision-making, and to lead a high-performing medical affairs organization.
