Executive Director

The client is seeking an Executive Director to lead a mission-driven, community-focused nonprofit community farm. The organization connects people to the land to build community and inspire lifelong stewardship through sustainable agriculture, education, hunger relief, community engagement and events, and forestry and maple operations. Reporting on organizational priorities, the Executive Director will develop and execute a strategic vision that clarifies the mission and supports growth and sustainability, ensure strong financial and operational health, and lead, develop, and inspire staff across diverse functional areas. The role also includes partnering with the board to support effective governance and strategic leadership, and serving as a passionate ambassador and community connector. Following recent facility and infrastructure expansion associated with a successful capital campaign, the Executive Director will be expected to guide the organization through its next chapter of impact. The client seeks a nonprofit senior leader with at least 15 years of experience, who is strongly aligned with the organization’s mission and values. Candidates should be enthusiastic and capable fundraisers and able to translate visionary thinking into tactical execution, with high emotional intelligence and strong relationship-building skills. The Executive Director should be financially confident with sound business judgment, collaborate effectively as a people manager who builds capacity and teamwork, and lead in a hands-on, grounded manner with an affinity for the outdoors.
