Night Shift Supervisor

Position Summary


We are seeking a dependable and experienced Night Shift Supervisor to oversee evening operations and ensure efficient production, food safety compliance, and strong team performance during overnight shifts. This role is responsible for maintaining operational excellence while supporting the delivery of high-quality food products to retail, food service, and wholesale customers.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight


• Supervise and coordinate night shift operations to ensure productivity and efficiency
• Monitor workflow and staffing levels to ensure nightly tasks are completed on schedule
• Ensure equipment and facility operations run smoothly during overnight hours

Compliance & Safety


• Enforce all food safety and sanitation procedures including HACCP, cGMPs, FSMA, and SSOP standards
• Maintain compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and workplace safety requirements
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and safe working conditions

Team Leadership


• Lead, train, and support night shift employees
• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and conflict resolution as needed
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment

Quality Control


• Monitor product quality, storage conditions, and handling procedures
• Ensure products meet company and regulatory quality standards
• Identify and address quality or operational concerns promptly

Inventory & Supplies


• Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate supplies are available for nightly operations
• Report shortages, damaged materials, or operational concerns to management

Problem Solving & Communication


• Respond quickly to operational issues, emergencies, or staffing concerns
• Communicate shift updates, incidents, and operational reports to management
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth production and service delivery

Qualifications


• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or coursework preferred
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience required
• Experience in food production, warehouse, manufacturing, or food service environments preferred
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and workplace safety practices
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational tracking systems preferred

Preferred Certifications


• OSHA Certification
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Food Safety or Sanitation Certifications

Work Environment


• Fast-paced food production and warehouse environment
• Requires standing, walking, and monitoring operations for extended periods
• Exposure to refrigerated storage areas and production equipment
• Must be able to work flexible overnight schedules and maintain high attention to detail

Pay Details: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour
