Purpose Of Position The Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering high-impact initiatives within the Project Management Office (PMO) that support the organization’s higher education and professional upskilling mission. This role oversees the full project lifecycle across a diverse portfolio, including AI implementations, software development, and business process improvement initiatives. Operating within a matrixed organization, the Project Manager applies Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives. The Project Manager serves as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex project data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, proactive risk management, and a commitment to continuous improvement as the organization scales its educational offerings in a rapidly evolving skilling landscape. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, risk mitigation, and final delivery. Lead and coordinate multiple concurrent projects within a PMO and matrixed organizational structure. Apply Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies to meet diverse project needs. Serve as the primary bridge between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment and clarity. Develop and deliver clear, concise project status reports, risk assessments, and updates to senior leadership. Identify project dependencies, risks, and resource constraints, proactively implementing mitigation strategies. Oversee projects related to AI integration, software development, and business process improvements. Utilize project management tools to track timelines, deliverables, and performance metrics, with a strong preference for Smartsheet. Foster collaboration and continuous improvement across teams supporting educational and upskilling initiatives. Ensure projects align with organizational goals and support the modernization of internal workflows. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Requirements Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (required). Minimum of 5+ years of project management experience within a PMO. Demonstrated experience working in a matrixed organizational structure. Industry experience in higher education, professional IT certification training, or IT skilling/upskilling. Proven success delivering projects related to AI implementations, software development, and business process improvement. Expert-level knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management frameworks. Proficiency in project management software; Smartsheet experience strongly preferred.
