When Alfred Fain founded a small Rhode Island tire store in 1924, at the time no one could have predicted how Teknor Apex would become an international custom compounder sought out by companies around the world. General Functions:

Utility Operator:

• Package PVC Compound in bags, boxes, and bulk.
• Label packaging, assembling boxes according to instructions on schedule.
• Assemble boxes and various other responsibilities.
• Interpret schedule to correctly label production packaging.
• Monitor finished material for proper quality.
• Operate fork truck and electric hand truck safely.
• Utilize the proper tools for the job being done.
• Utilize exact weight scales and floor scales to properly weigh finished product.

Unit Operator:

Operate either a Banbury type batch mixer or a continuous mixer. Operate Pelletizing system. Collect data on production area.

Blender Loader:

• Load and clean ribbon blenders.
• Weigh compound ingredients.
• Sample and transfer samples to lab.

Console Operator:

• All blender loader functions listed above.
• Read and understand schedule.
• Add bulk oil and resin to blenders.

Compounder:

• All Blender Loader functions listed above.
• To make sure that small ingredients are weighed and labeled correctly.
