JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary Investigates heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders by conducting invasive and non‑invasive diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems. Operates x‑ray and physiological equipment, assists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and maintains equipment and records test results. Job Requirements Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred One year of catheterization experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT‑R): Required Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License: Required in OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy: Required Facility Specific License/Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy: Required AHA‑ACLS or ARC‑ALS: Required Essential Functions Assists physicians with procedures and operates all special procedure equipment, selecting and modifying technical factors as needed. Monitors, records, and evaluates patient vital signs throughout procedures, ensuring radiation safety and maintaining sterile and aseptic techniques. Operates, records, and maintains physiologic equipment, including all cardiac Cath equipment such as C‑Arm, angiographic injectors, and patient monitoring equipment; reports malfunctions and performs preventive maintenance. Assists the Cardiologist and/or Radiologist or physician during special procedures and the administration of opaque media via catheter or direct injection. Completes appropriate forms at the start and end of any special procedures, records charges, and performs general office duties as requested. Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
