Cafeteria Worker
Location: Manhattan School District 114 Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-1pm, Part Time, School Schedule
We are seeking dependable, energetic, and customer-focused Cafeteria Workers to join our food service team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and is committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized cafeteria.
Responsibilities
- Serve food according to established recipes and portion standards.
- Greet and assist students in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, and food service equipment.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Assist with stocking, receiving deliveries, and organizing inventory.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient meal service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous food service or cafeteria experience is not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus.
