HVAC Technician - Cox Property Management, Inc. - Johnson City, TN

The HVAC Technician position is a full-time employment opportunity within the Commercial Property Management division of Mitch Cox Companies known as Cox Property Management.


Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with hands-on experience performing repairs and preventative maintenance on various types of equipment. Our team handles all aspects of repairing and maintaining commercial buildings, and the HVAC technician may be expected to assist with light electrical, plumbing, and other general maintenance work orders when needed. The candidate for this role must be professional, courteous, trustworthy, reliable, and a team player that works extremely well with others.


Responsibilities:
• Process and complete work orders with minimal supervision and guidance
• Troubleshoot and repair various types of HVAC systems (Air-to-air heat pumps, air conditioning systems, & gas furnaces)
• Perform seasonal preventive maintenance inspections on HVAC systems
• Repair and maintain other various electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems as needed

Minimum Requirements:
• Valid driver's license & clean driving record
• Valid EPA 608 certification by an EPA-approved certifying organization
• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role in the industry
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues effectively
• Experience with hand tools and power tool equipment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders to work on commercial roofs and in attics
