Senior BI Developer

You will own the full analytics lifecycle, from governed data models and enterprise metrics to impactful dashboards and reporting experiences. This is a hands-on opportunity for an analytics professional who enjoys innovation, automation, and building scalable BI solutions in a collaborative environment. \n Accountabilities: As a Senior BI Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise analytics solutions while ensuring data accuracy, governance, and usability across business and client-facing platforms. Build and maintain trusted gold-layer data models and governed metrics layers within a cloud data warehouse using Snowflake and dbt. Define, document, and manage enterprise-wide metric definitions to create a consistent source of truth across analytics, reporting, and AI applications. Develop transformation logic within the warehouse to simplify downstream consumption and eliminate duplicated calculations across dashboards. Partner with data engineering teams to define clear boundaries between data pipelines and analytics-ready models. Design and deliver dashboards, reports, and analytics experiences using enterprise BI platforms. Translate business needs into scalable data models, meaningful metrics, and intuitive visualizations. Optimize dashboards and queries for performance, reliability, and usability across high-volume data environments. Apply strong BI design principles and recommend appropriate analytics approaches based on business objectives. Incorporate AI-assisted development tools and coding agents into daily workflows to improve productivity, documentation, testing, and delivery. Establish effective development environments, workflows, and standards for AI-enabled analytics development. Champion data quality, governance, automation, and continuous improvement across analytics solutions. Contribute to architecture decisions, reusable assets, and best practices for analytics delivery. Requirements: The ideal candidate brings strong business intelligence expertise, advanced data modeling skills, and the ability to connect technical solutions with business outcomes. 5+ years of hands-on experience building BI solutions, including data models, metrics, dashboards, and reporting in data-driven organizations. Strong understanding of analytics concepts including data modeling, metric definition, reporting strategy, and business analysis. Proven experience creating data models and transformations in cloud data warehouses, particularly Snowflake with dbt. Strong SQL skills and experience developing reliable, scalable analytical solutions. Demonstrated experience with enterprise BI platforms such as ThoughtSpot, Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, or similar tools. Ability to evaluate BI technologies, understand trade-offs, and apply effective visualization and reporting practices. Experience working with AI-assisted development tools, coding agents, and modern AI-enabled workflows. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables. Experience building governed semantic or metrics layers and moving transformation logic from BI tools into data warehouses is highly preferred. Familiarity with version control, CI/CD practices, and software engineering approaches applied to analytics development is a plus. Experience in healthcare technology, pharmacy benefits, or other regulated industries is preferred. Experience creating client-facing reporting solutions or demonstration environments is beneficial.
