Workforce Ed Instructor (Nursing Assistant)

Position Institution Name: University of Arkansas at Monticello Type of Position: Faculty - Non-Tenure (Workforce Ed) Job Type: Regular Sponsorship Available: No Responsibilities This position will work under the Nursing Director to deliver instruction to all nursing assistant students in compliance with all university and the Office of Long-Term Care policies and requirements. Instructors are responsible for teaching and evaluating student learning in classroom and clinical settings, maintaining accurate record-keeping, performing skill check-offs, and enforcing program expectations. Instructors contribute to the university mission through quality performance of all assigned duties and report to the Assistant Vice Chancellor, who will guide them in meeting the responsibilities of the position. Qualifications Applicant must meet qualifications from the Office of Long-Term Care to serve as an instructor in the Nursing Assistant program, which include a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience as a licensed practical nurse and at least one year of long‑term or acute care experience within the last 5 years. The nursing license must be in good standing with the State Board of Nursing. Candidates must complete employment eligibility and other screenings as required by the university.
