Overview Registered Nurse – CVOR travel assignment in Kansas City, KS. Start date 08/02/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $3,046 to $3,174 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0 per week. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $3,046–$3,174 per week Guaranteed hours: 0.0 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x10-hour days (four days per week) Start date: 08/02/2026 Work setting: CVOR in a hospital operating room Credentialing timeline: CBC, DS, and lab work completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance Responsibilities Provide scrub and circulating RN coverage for cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, including CABG and valve surgeries, in a level 1 trauma center environment Prepare and maintain the sterile field, select and arrange instruments, manage equipment and supplies, and ensure accurate intraoperative counts Monitor patient status during procedures, assist anesthesia as needed, and support hemodynamic monitoring and patient safety throughout the case Communicate clearly with the surgical team, anticipate needs, document intraoperative events, and adhere to infection control and safety protocols Support room turnover, equipment maintenance, and readiness for subsequent cases; assist with specimen handling and labeling as required Floating: may be assigned to Bell OR, Cambridge OR, or SPD per unit needs Requirements Active RN license in Kansas and BLS certification Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience in a level 1 trauma center Certification requirements: KS RN License, BLS Credentialing expectations: CBC, DS, and lab work must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance Ability to perform scrub and circulating duties in CVOR and to float to other related OR areas as needed Weekend rotation required and on-call responsibilities: up to 1 weekend per month with potential holiday call backs; 2-hour minimum call back Credentialing and orientation timing: orientation is typically scheduled to begin within the assignment window; new employee orientation details provided during onboarding Benefits and Support Fast credentialing to help you start on schedule Dedicated support throughout the assignment, including a point of contact for issues or updates Ongoing travel and staffing support from a designated recruiter Opportunities for assignment extension based on performance and unit needs Administrative support to coordinate credentialing and onboarding tasks Pay Disclaimer Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
