Duration of Appointment Summer 2026 - May 15th - August 9th 2026 Maximum Scheduled Weekly Hours 1 Job Description Summary Provide excellent customer service to guests assembled with us forconferences and workshops. Duties similar to those of a hotel frontdesk attendant. Welcome guests, Check in and Check out guests insummer housing, provide customer service support as needed. Job Description Essential Duties Maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor. Be punctual for scheduled shifts. Once scheduled, you areresponsible for either working the shift or finding an approvedsubstitute. Communicate changes in your availability and requesteddays off, following deadlines. Thoroughly and concisely communicate information to guests andother staff members. Limit distractions when working, including visitors to your workarea and phone/computer distractions. Provide excellent customer service to guests assembled with us forconferences and workshops. Provide information to guests surrounding their conferencearrangements, Miami University and Oxford, Ohio. Follow established procedures to check guests in and out of theirresidence hall rooms, ensuring that security and safety measuresare performed when distributing and collecting guest roomkeys. Properly record information on housing roster and key reports Communicate information through the log book from one shift to thenext. Communicate information with the Conference Service Staff andResidence Hall Housekeeping Staff. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Have the willingness to help out when unexpected needsarise. Prior customer service or conference experience ispreferred.
