Benefit from comprehensive healthcare, 401k match, and stock options.Job DescriptionIndirect Tax Lead OverviewThe Indirect Tax Lead will oversee global indirect tax compliance and strategy for a dynamic and fast-growing organization.This role offers the opportunity to manage indirect tax processes across 40+ jurisdictions worldwide.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address product taxability, invoicing, and customer tax inquiries.Leverage advanced tools and automation to streamline tax compliance and reporting processes.Work remotely with a preference for East Coast candidates, offering flexibility and work-life balance.Benefit from comprehensive healthcare, 401k match, and stock options as part of the compensation package.Be part of a globally distributed team that values innovation and excellence.Contribute to a company that prioritizes professional development and career growth opportunities.Indirect Tax Lead Key Responsibilities & DutiesManage end-to-end indirect tax compliance, including filings, payments, reconciliations, and audits.Maintain and optimize tax codes and configurations within billing platforms like Stripe Tax.Prepare for and implement e-invoicing mandates across multiple jurisdictions.Collaborate with external advisors to ensure compliance with international VAT/GST regulations.Support new market launches by establishing indirect tax compliance in emerging jurisdictions.Conduct nexus analysis and manage exemption certificates for US sales and use tax.Provide expertise on indirect tax audits, including state sales tax and gross receipts audits.Drive process improvements and automation to enhance tax reporting efficiency.Act as the primary point of contact for indirect tax-related inquiries and initiatives.Indirect Tax Lead Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.Minimum of 3 years of experience in indirect tax compliance, with 7 years preferred.Proven expertise in US sales and use tax, including multi-state compliance and nexus analysis.Familiarity with international VAT/GST compliance and global tax filing processes.Experience with tax engines or billing platforms such as Stripe Tax, Avalara, or Vertex.Strong analytical skills and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment.Comfortable managing indirect tax audits and implementing e-invoicing mandates.Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
