Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid - approx. 2-3 days/week onsite, more as needed) Employment Type: Full-time, Direct-Hire Compensation: $85k-$100k Our client is a growing, multi-location organization seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support its finance and supply chain operations. This is a confidential search conducted on behalf of our client. Position Summary The Inventory Control Specialist oversees materials management across multiple company locations. This role supports warehouse operations, coordinates inventory held internally and through third-party manufacturing and logistics partners, and manages the inventory control process. The position is a key resource for ensuring inventory accuracy, inventory visibility, and operational efficiency across the organization. This role does not have direct reports at the outset but will take ownership of inventory processes and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily inventory control and onsite inventory support activities. Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions within the ERP system. Monitor and control parts movement in and out of company facilities. Coordinate inventory activities with contract manufacturers and 3PL providers. Conduct inventory audits, reconciliations, and cycle counts across multiple locations. Generate inventory and performance reports for management. Support operations, service, production, finance, and other departments with inventory-related requests. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support business operations. Assist with receiving, stocking, organizing, and shipping inventory as needed. Required Qualifications 3+ years of inventory, warehouse, logistics, or materials management experience. Experience with ERP systems and inventory control processes. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, business, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of inventory control, materials management, and logistics coordination preferred. Experience with Fishbowl, Salesforce, and QuickBooks. Physical Requirements / Work Environment Primarily office and computer-based work with regular warehouse activity. Requires extended periods of sitting and standing, frequent movement throughout warehouse locations, and occasional lifting of up to 50-75 pounds.
